Here at RUBY-Jo we encourage the children to learn the discipline of good time keeping and good time management. Lateness deprives the child of morning worship and the first couple activities of the day.  Consistent lateness and Absence without good reason may result in suspension and ultimate removal from the school register.

HOMEWORK AND SCHOOL EQUIPMENT

Home work is a BUILD-ON, on the subject or lesson that has been taught in the classroom. It is an assessment or a test of the child’s understanding and knowledge on the subject matter.

We therefore take a serious view of homework and that it must be done by the child himself or herself (under parent’s guidance/supervision) and must be submitted on the stated day/date.

We understand there may be good reasons why a home work is not done and submitted on time, but, PERSISTENT FAILURE TO DO AND SUBMIT HOMEWORK ON TIME ON THREE CONSECUTIVE OCCASIONS WILL RESULT IN ONE WEEK SUSPENSION, ANY SUBSEQUENT FAILURE TO DO HOMEWORK WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM SHOOL REGISTER. This is a discipline that all pupils/students must acquire as the journey through education and beyond, ie meeting deadlines.   Any homework given must be signed by parents on completion by the child/pupil. Parents will be held responsible for not ensuring that homework is completed.

Parents may be asked to pay for school equipment or books willfully destroyed by their WARDS.

Parents are advised that homework is taken seriously in this school and pupils will be dealt with severely.

Children repeat what they hear adults SAY and DO. Parents are advised to be careful what they say and do in the presence of their WARDS as some children have used bad/foul language and this will not be tolerated.
  • Children ( where appropriate) are expected to report to school with the necessary books, pencils and other LEARNING TOOLS OR equipment so as not to disorganize the class and hinder the progress of other children.  Parents must ensure their WARD arrives at school well PREPARED.
  • Children are not to go outside the school gates for any reason, but are to wait in the classrooms/school compound until collected. Children must not liter the school compound.
